I get it… the beach is … utopia. But, what I have found it’s much more, it’s a total state of mind. It’s a feeling of being footloose and enjoying a lifestyle of relaxation and fun. Here’s something else to consider, the Island Side of Disney. Sometimes you can’t make it to the beach, or sometimes you want a change of pace. Trust me on this… Disney has a magical, adult, and Island side. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you really should.
Join us as Kevin and I talk all about how to enjoy the Island Side of Disney. From the bars, hotels, restaurants and so much more, I bet you didn’t know Disney could be this fun.
Disney is magical no matter the time of year but at Christmas… it’s simply amazing. The parks and resorts are all decorated and ready for guests by Thanksgiving each year. If you are a Disney lover… or simply love the Holiday season, then you need to add DisneyWorld to your bucket list.
I didn’t grow up visiting Disney World and neither did my kids. But, after our youngest child became a cast member, I became a total convert. I visit as often as I can and with each visit, I check out a new way to explore the Parks. My latest obsession? The Sorcerer Game at Magic Kingdom.
I know, I am stepping out and opening myself up, but I officially declare the best Disney snack is.... the Dole Whip. I am a late convert to Disney. As a child, I visited Disneyland, once, and then didn't return to Disney World until later in life. But, one of my first experiences at Disney Word was this amazing treat the Dole Whip.
I always want my Disney experience to be ... magical. Part of that is where I choose to stay while visiting. You never can go wrong staying on a Disney property. But, do you consider the Value resorts first? I guess I am a frugal traveler, which is why they are always my first choice.
As a rule, we never really spend too much time in our rooms, which means, I don't spend a lot of money on my rooms. But, I want comfort, value, and fun where I stay. My first choice at Disney? The All-Star Resorts. They have amazing theming and the rooms are very comfortable.
In full disclosure, I am not a ride person. Rollercoasters scare me. But, I love Disney. I think it's an easy balance. So much to see and do, other than rides. But, my family, well, they love to ride rides. Thus, I am sometimes asked (maybe coerced?) to go on a few. One of these was... Soarin' Epcot. I know, I can hear you now, it's such a tame ride... what's the fear from?
Have you ever found yourself caught up in something just because someone else is? That’s the beginning of my relationship with Disney. I blame it on my youngest kid. Because of him… I became a reluctant Disney fan.
From the time Dan was 8 years old, all he wanted was to work at Disney.
